I started dabbling in photography in high school and it grew into a love and passion that has stayed with me since. My first camera was a Kodak 110 and I don’t think I captured one usable photo with it, but I had a lot of fun burning through film… thanks, Dad! Throughout high school and college, I had the opportunity to travel to several countries and that’s when I really started to get hooked. I majored in video production and directing, so it was starting to become a major focus in my life. During college, in Chicago, I worked part time at a bread company owned by Paul Schutt’s wife Linda, and Paul also happened to own Helix Camera Company. I started hanging out at his camera store (a magical place by the way) and Paul encouraged me and a few others to get out and learn as much as we could. His experience and attitude toward photography blew my mind. Well that was 1994.

Since then, I’ve been an amateur, semi-professional and professional photographer, depending on what was going on with my life. I’ve photographed weddings, newborns, families, senior portraits, events, executive portraits, fashion, architecture, wildlife, landscapes, etc. I’ve been published in several magazines and worked with a lot of amazing people along the way. I’m also an FAA certified drone pilot and have enjoyed working with video as well.

I appreciate you taking the time to look at my portfolio!. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have.
